Children
of Odin Degrees of Attainment Appropriate deities should be substituted for Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, or Germanic heritage. See
"Pantheons of the North." A reformatted Oath of Knighthood can be used as the initiation text for any specific grade. Progression
to a higher grade must celebrate only a major event, lesson learned, or tangible advance in personal development, and must
correspond to the traditional characteristics of the particular deity attributed for that grade. Sometimes attainment may not be identified as such until later in life. A system such as this,
of course, is designed not only to speed up personal attainment, but also to enhance the recognition thereof. Some of these
grades may actually have been attained before entering the CO. Absolute honesty and self-knowledge are required to progress
properly here. Inner satisfaction comes, not from recognition by others, but from oneness with the higher self.

where one becomes deeply and truly aware that spiritually there is something more important than oneself and is driven onward
and upward towards a vague but transcendental ideal. The degree of Magus is attained when one brings an immovable will to bear upon the problem
of Adeptship as this applies to evolving life in the universe as a whole. At this point the transcendental ideal is no longer
vague. When one reaches the degree of Ipsissimus, it
is given that the transcendental ideal and the means to it's attainment have become crystal clear. |
