The following is a series of entries from the author's journal.

1980

May 29 Boston. Visit Radical Libertarian meeting on the Common. Meet Dirk and Heidi Lokison. They join me for rib at Jake's. We speak of many things and agree to meet again in future...

1981

May 29 [Only by coincidence, but exactly one year later]... Dirk Lokison and I discuss Libertarian Revolution over rib at Jake's...

1982

Sep 24 ... Meet Dirk at Jake's. Prime rib. He supports my plans for the WLO. His parents, Lars and Greta, join us on their way to the theater. It turns out that Lars is an advanced initiate in many secret societies and when I mention some of my own affiliations he comments that this is very unusual for one my age [I proudly recall]. I tell him about my Libertarian writings. He is impressed and I am so delighted by his response that I ask him to write a description of me for the book. While the ladies talk, I return to Naked Eye Cabaret with Dirk and Lars for a brief interlude... See Venus who avoids me. See Venus dance. With ultra-long hair she resembles an Elfin Witch princess. Lars really enjoys all this immesely and seems very taken with Venus. He says that he hasn't had an evening like this since he lived in Berlin during the 1930's... Retire early [Even though I don't end up having a date, this is one of the finest and truly well rounded evenings I have ever had].

1983

Jan 24 Tell Lars more about the World Libertarian Order. He knows many radical Libertarians who he says will join, even a few in other countries, and will get information to them. To this end I send him photocopies of "A Brief Introduction to the WLO" and the "Vis in Terra" Chart for distribution to all prospective members.

[Membership drive with many phone calls by Dirk, Lars, and others during this period].

Feb 12 c 6:30 AM Leave for Plymouth MA. Scrambled and bacon at Olsen's in Templeton. Drive fast. Reach top of Burial Hill before others arrive [Location chosen because of the superior weather on the coast at this time of year and because of the connection with liberty and beginnings. The view is beautiful. I feel at home because there are a great number of my ancestors buried here]. Britt shows up a few minutes later. 12:30 PM Amongst a splendid company of revolutionary Libertarians [88], finish performance of "Ritual AYW" founding the Order of Yggdrasil in the North and the World Libertarian Order. I encourage the others to remain in Plymouth to see the sights. We then pay respects briefly at Plymouth Rock and Mayflower II. Lars and Greta are beaming with delight. Dirk and Heidi introduce me to many of the people. Talk especially with Bert Valdison about Norse stuff...

July 3 Write outline in letter explaining to Dirk about introductory material for my books. 8:00 AM Finish letter asking Lars about his contribution to the writings in the form of a description of me - "A word about the Author." ...

July 16 Lars calls me from Great Slave and reads rough description of me [as author]. Aft. Write this up. [Later decide not to use this material because I have grown to think that a personal description of me is unimportant, plus it speaks overmuch about my personal life with women in Boston].

1984

Dec 16 ... Meet Dirk at Jake's. Shrimp at China Pearl. He agrees that I can use good paraphrasals of his words as quotations...

1985

Sep 22 Autumn Sabbat. At daybreak, walk Stonebridge Farm. At Solar Noon on west shore of Surry Lake with eighty six (all but two) OY Knights and Ladies, perform ritual founding the Special Orders for Valor and the WLO Werewolves [Same text as used for founding OY, but with appropriate adaptations]. Follow with nice picnic on blankets. Delicious egg salad sandwiches. c 6 PM Seventeen of us have celebration banquet at Windingbrook Lodge...

1986

Sep 8 Bert calls to tell me that Dirk and Heidi went in search of his parents to Great Slave Lake last October. Lars and Greta were on strange business connected with some arcane fraternity during the founding of the Special Orders for Valor last September. None of the four have ever been heard of since. This bewilders me. They are the finest people I have ever known. [This also convinces me to never visit Great Slave Lake as I had once planned].

[Bert Valdison calls a few times during this period about minor matters connected with the WLO].

1994

Aug 22 ... Bert calls. He informs me that we now have 273 WLO members. He is going to mimeograph his copies of the books and send these to all.

Nov 27 ... Aft. Bert calls to tell me he is returning to Stockholm, but not for awhile...

1996

Jan 5 First listing of WLO with Gale Research Encyclopedia of Associations.

Jun 1 Write entry about WLO for Yearbook of International Organizations who write to us from Brussels Belgium in March requesting a listing.

1998

Jan 12 Aft. Bert calls to say good-bye before leaving for Sweden. When I begin to reminisce about Dirk and Heidi, he tells me that Dirk and his family didn't just disappear - they were murdered by an underground group of radical Socialists. He refuses to give me details and says that he has been aware of this for a long time, but didn't tell me sooner because he was afraid of what I would do. On the bright side, he also informs me that we now have a total of 392 WLO members in forty seven countries... He says that once he gets to Sweden he will not be able to recruit at all in the USA because of the distance and because he will be working long hours managing an estate. I don't know what I'm going to do without his efforts.

Jan 13 Decide that unless I can somehow increase the WLO membership markedly on the Internet that I will declare and keep the official number at 418 - number designating the New Aeon...
