Armstrong is a research biochemist who has gotten into some research of his own,
apart from his normal job related duties.

                           Hilton
has read Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
He
understands about all of the incorrect assumptions that Jekyll made, and why it
all went wrong, but this only gives him an advantage in greater objectivity. He
will profit from Jekyll’s mistakes. He has been doing experiments and refining the
                           tests for months

                           As
he looks through the microscope into the Petri Dish of Gentries Solution, he is
delighted to see the first normal monthly fusing of his own DNA with that of a
young male grizzly bear. The waxing Full Moon will provide the gravitational
catalyst necessary for the transformation. As the moon wanes, the fusion will
subside and genetic normalcy will return until the next Full Moon.

                           Archaeological
discoveries have shown that sometimes an important scientific discovery or
invention has occurred, then fallen into disuse, ultimately to be forgotten by
all of mankind, but then rediscovered at a later date. The electric battery
used by the South American pyramid builders is a good example. Hilton has often
wondered if some of the medieval werewolf legends might have been due to the
research of an alchemist centuries ahead of him in these same studies.

                           The
tests have been completely consistent and stable for eight months. Today is the
big event. Hilton sits down at his desk and suctions a small spoonful of his
biological cocktail into a syringe and injects it into his left arm.

                           “I
can bearly feel a thing” he jokes to
                           himself.

                           Hilton
is just finishing up the breakfast dishes. Here it comes! Suddenly he feels his
skin getting tight, like when he gets horny with Liz. To keep his clothes from
splitting, he takes them off quickly.

                           His
upper gums feel intense pressure as his teeth push out into long fangs. His
hands are getting bigger and the fingertips are sprouting long claws. He’s
gained some height, but only ten inches. Not very much pain from all this, and
he has a very nice brown fur coat into the bargain, grizzled just like a real bear.
He walks to the bedroom to view himself in the full length mirror. He feels the
great increase in strength and flexes his muscles. Now he gazes long into his
new face, then goes to his ritual chamber to think
Hilton
is very open minded and considers every angle in all that he does. Now he
                           understands the general meaning behind

“This
is so fantastic, I must even entertain the idea that the ritual I performed
using the magickal book may have somehow helped, especially with the teeth and
                           claws.

It’s
just as he had planned. His human consciousness is fully intact. He notices a
fierce bravado that wasn’t present previously, but that’s all. No thoughts of
doing a female bear. He still desires Liz, but she probably wouldn’t want him
in this condition. If she did, he would surely have to find a new girlfriend.
Now
he begins measuring his new body like a tailor, very difficult with the claws.
