loss when they visit Alaska.
March 20, 1999 The head wind is so strong at Balsams Wilderness that Garrett is able to ski parallel to the fall line, even on the steepest terrain, but when the wind suddenly abates, he is hurled forward and has to swerve into an almost perpendicular traverse. Whenever this happens, there’s Triple Diamond Jim, shushing innocently down to be blocked by Garrett’s mere survival efforts.

Boris Badanoff at Mount Abram is Garrett’s favorite, and at lunch the large cheeseburger heaped with well-cooked onions is superb and memorable. April

October 30, 2000 2000. Beth brings curvaceous Rachel O’Connor when she comes to visit Garret. He enjoys them together in a way that transcends even his day at the castle in Albany, because these are real Witches.
January 21, 2001 At Gunstock,
Garrett catches an edge while admiring the scenery, and has a bad fall on this family mountain. First ambulance ride.
March 1, 2001 At Ragged Mountain, Garrett skis a delightful glade that leaves him feeling very happy all the way home. March 19, 2001 King Pine is splendid,
but his lower lumbar injury, since aggravated by snow shoveling, tires him out by 2:30 PM.

26, 2001 October 30, 2001 Beth and Rachel visit for two days with Britt Linstrum, Garrett feels happy for two weeks. January 2002 Full Moon Night Garrett learns beyond any doubt that his new friend Hilton Armstrong can actually transform himself into a Werebear. They discuss the mutual advantage in this. March 3, 2002 Garrett enlists Hilton go to Norway on what he believes is the first mission of the Werebear. March 13, 2003 Garrett thinks he may be too involved with Ervene, a tall witchy looking Jewish woman from Benton, New Hampshire. She affects his appetites in a very intense, but strange way. She claims to be a Libertarian, but doesn’t manifest the values in any tangible way. She introduces subject matter, invites Garrett’s agreement, then gets him wrong for agreeing. Garrett always feels spiritually tainted after talking with her. In Littleton Garrett learns that Ervene was married to a man who committed suicide six months later. It’s easy to imagine what must have happened. The terms psychic vampire and soul sucker come to mind. Garrett avoids her from here on, but not without a sense of having missed something. If only they could have had sex before he got to know her. September 2003 October 2003 Samhain 2003 Garrett visits Salem and acts as Priapic Celebrant for Beth’s coven of thirteen. November 2003 While visiting Las Vegas, Garrett meets the writer Jay Farnum at UNLV. They decide to collaborate on a screenplay. December 3. 2003 Garrett gets an apartment in Burbank CA April 2006 August 2006 Garrett sells the house in Easton, He is well entrenched in the west now, and visits his Witches in Salem to say goodbye.
