Che, Ole!

August 22, 2028

The Socialists are all rested up after their horrific ordeal in Germany. Ernie has called them together for an early evening debriefing.

After Ernie’s initial remarks, Henry says,

“We sho whipped those punk ass Nazi muthafuckas, didn’t we?”

“Yeah, with a little help from Africa”

says Jamal.

“Don’t be so sure” adds Ernie. “People will be watching us. We need to be very cool for a few months. No activity except weekly meetings. We can catch up on planning future stuff.”

The lights go out. In seconds, the dim, slightly amber emergency lights come on.

“What’s this bullshit?” says Jerry.

Suddenly a deep smooth voice,

“People from Germany are watching you already, and there won’t be any future stuff.

Eight large grey wolves walking upright advance briskly into the room from impossible points of entry. Henry tries to bolt, but one of the fellows hamstrings him. Henry emits the sciatic scream, then quiets down to a whimper as he bleeds to death..

Ernie pulls out his tough-guy-rapist knife, the one he threatened Debbie with, but another big grey fellow is not that impressed and just walks right in on him, and with one quick move, rips off his face like a cheap rubber mask.

Jamal has retreated to a corner and pulls his pistol, the same one he used to murder the woman in the convenience store. It won’t help him much now though, because a third grey fellow comes on him from the side, while another grabs Jamal’s gun arm, lifts the arm up straight, and using leverage, rips it out of the socket. Jamal’s agonized scream dies quickly with him in a gurgle of blood.

.The resourceful Jerry somehow gets out the door, and runs like the wind into an adjacent neighborhood with three wolves in close pursuit. The first to catch up, easily tears Jerry’s head off, and is later remembered to be civic minded by one of the neighbors as he puts the head into a trash can where it has always properly belonged.
