Six Arrests, One Trial

December 22, 2024

One or two people have noticed meetings of the six heroes. Further inquiry of college library personnel by the police, confirms that five of the six men were on campus just before the detonations. The police arrest all six heroes. This is practically a shoe in for conviction via circumstantial evidence if they get a bad jury.

Garrett Valdison calls Hilton Armstrong, and tells him about the events in Montana.

8:00 A.M. There was a heavy snow storm last night. As luck or devolutionary Socialism will have it, the judge is a Negro feminist lesbian named Latisha Jefferson. After the final summation, she instructs the jury,

“You have heard the overwhelming circumstantial evidence against these men, augmented by the terrible bigoted remarks of Mr. Johnson after the first bombing. There can be no reasonable doubt that these men are guilty of the murder of fifty thousand innocent future African American citizens. I instruct you to remember that you have no choice but to find them all guilty as charged.”

The jury is out for only eight minutes. The foreman reads the verdict,

“Your Dis-Honor, we the Jury find the six men innocent of any wrongdoing, and furthermore recommend that they all be nominated to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor for their patriotism, honest expression of values, and quiet forbearance in this matter.”

The judge is furious. Her voice trembles,

“I will not accept this travesty. I declare a mistrial, and will move for a change of venue, with a new trial in the state capital. Bailiff, please escort these men…”

The bailiff has already pulled out a shiny new .38 Special, and, with a boyish grin, shoots the judge between the eyes. She falls backwards, slumping into the desk chair. The people in the courtroom gasp, and then one starts to applaud, soon joined by everybody.

Daryl addresses the all-white crowd,

“You heard the verdict, and the judge’s eloquent acquittal. As to her demise, it seems that she and her bestial white girlfriend, Thalia, have been having violent quarrels lately, and this is the tragic consequence. Thalia cannot but acknowledge the presence in evidence, of her recently purchased pistol, procured just last night at no small risk, and just this morning delivered for safekeeping into the hands of the bailiff.” Many chuckle as Daryl calls Thalia on his cell.

Says Daryl gesturing to the judge’s body.

“Happened just after we all left, apparently. Is this reasonable?”

Everybody says “Yes!” more or less together and they begin to file out.

The bailiff opens the courtroom door and the crowd pours out into the sunny morning.
