Conference

February 8, 2025

Walter Durrant opens the meeting.

“We won, but only here. The feds have decided to create their African colony elsewhere, and it looks like we have friends we don’t even know about. Who shot those arrows?”

Everybody shrugs.

“What next?” asks Hugh.

“Invade Africa” says John.

They all smile. Offers Karl,

“The best thing to do is for each of us to travel away to do things without telling anybody, including each other. I also think it’s good for the learning process to specialize on one category of target, but within that, to vary the superficial aspects of modus operandi to keep everyone guessing.”

“I agree” says Daryl “but not any of it for a while. They probably have two agents watching each of us. We’ve been very lucky up to this point, more than anything else. This is a good time to catch up on reading about what’s happening, where, and by whom. What’s happened with us here so far is so crucial and to-the-point, that it will be hard to follow. Nothing less than key assassinations will be able to equal it. Those are hard to do, however.”

All the men smile proudly

We won’t even need meetings” says Paul.

“True,” says Daryl “but if we have them routinely once a month, it will attract less attention, when we have to have one for some special reason in the future, and we will.”

“True” says Paul. “How about the second Sunday of each month at noon?” The others nod in agreement

Daryl adds, “Let’s each write anonymously on a slip of paper what we want for our area of specialization to be. Then I’ll check them to see if there is any duplication or overlap. Then I’ll read them aloud for our personal inspiration at the conclusion of this meeting
