Boris Pilos is very impressed with the latest resistance, but it must stop. To this end, it is announced
that he will pay five million Euro dollars for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for
the murder of so many “fine young people”. Ted snickers at this last part, but thinks into just how carefully everybody will be studying everybody
else. Additionally, now that it is acknowledged that the killer will travel to scheduled venues, Ted decides to sit out the
next one just to see what the attendance will turn out to be. Is five million worth the risk? Will most of the bounty hunters
turn out to be spectators instead of demonstrators? Apparently Pilos considers this last question himself, and so the next day changes the terms for reward
payment to include only participating anti-Benedict demonstrators. May 18, 2029 This time, it’s the University of Massachusetts. Ted was right. More spectators than usual and practically no lunatic leftists, not even one of the ninja operatives. Ted considers the very real prospect, that with only two strikes, he may have actually stopped the Pilos initiative, at least at the level of campus protests. |
